Fast Moving Train 01-02-09



I went into town today to run some errands and also take some photos of the train depot and courthouse. While at the depot, without warning here came a train and I managed to get "something" in focus. I would say he was moving at 50 mph or so and I was less that 100 yards from him so I feel lucky that I got this shot. Thanks heavens I was in auto mode and could react quickly. Most of the time anymore I shoot in manual mode and like the results better than auto.

    My husband works for the RR (BNSF). You did a great job with the focus, I like the fact that I can tell the train was moving at a fast speed. Much better than stopping action. Another great image! Shawna
